SUPCON Wins Contracts of PRACHARAT Biomass Power Plant Projects in Thailand
Release time:Feb 26, 2020

February, SUPCON won two DCS contracts of PRACHARAT 3MW biomass power projects fueled by rubber trees in the south of Thailand. These two projects are jointly invested by Seven Utilities, Power PCL (subsidiary of well-known public company 7UP invested in Thailand) and PEA ENCOM (subsidiary of Thailand Provincial Electricity Authority).

Southern provinces have the potential to produce up to 500MW of biogas power, 95MW from 15 power plants. Existing electricity production is insufficient for power demand of 14 southern provinces, leading the region to rely on power supplied from Malaysia and central Thailand currently and see a big potential in the power market.
